Remember the old days when home cooked meals were common and time wasn’t short? Nonna always had a pot of sugo on the stove and sitting down together to eat was interesting for two reasons – the people you were with and the simple, fresh ingredients combined into a delicious meal on your plate. Buonissimo!!!!

At Andiamo, we find it so interesting that the new industry catchphrase of the shared table has become so prolific when in fact PIZZA – our favourite food ever -is the original share plate! Although our signature Del Popolo is a favourite with the locals – infused with fragrant garlic, loaded with pepperoni, green capsicum fresh mushroom and oregano – we stand by our traditional Margherita. A testament to the most amazingly simple, delicious combination made popular by Queen Margherita and representing the colours of the Italian flag, red white and green – delicious!

The roots of Andiamo started in 1997 when a village trattoria was brought to life in the wonderful place that is Summer Hill. As we evolved over these years and changed our name, face and culture, we now have multiplied and brought the village to Rhodes, Chippendale and Abbotsford. The culture of each maintaining the integrity of Andiamo’s traditions – our pride in serving simple, rustic Italian food, Southern Italian stonebaked pizza, pasta and friendly, relaxed service. Our philosophy is simple – extending a wonderful place for the community to dine, drink and enjoy.
